SafetyNet Message Switch Interface

The SafetyNet Message Switch Interface provides SafetyNet users the ability to communicate with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and other federal, state and local databases. Criminal records relating to stolen vehicles, boats, guns, articles, and persons may be submitted and inquired about.

The SafetyNet Message Switch Interface is capable of supporting multiple agencies and jurisdictions through a single NCIC/NLETS interface attach point and provides federal, county, regional and statewide networking and telecommunications capabilities. NCIC interface functions can also be used by SafetyNet Mobile Data and SafetyNet RMS users.

Where appropriate, the SafetyNet Message Switch Interface includes full terminal emulation capabilities so that formatted screens are reproduced on any workstation.
